Model United Nations

The Student Model United Nations is open to Peel board secondary students and is held on the first Friday of March every year. This year's event is taking place on March  2, 2007. Particpants will hear from keynote speaker Stephen Lewis and debate the issue of gender equality. Click here for more information.

eQUEST

More than 400 Peel board students in grades 7 to 12 attending eQUEST on Nov. 29, 2006 at the Pearson Convention Centre in Brampton. Participants heard from Nigel Fisher, President and CEO of UNICEF Canada, and participated in workshops facilitated by various Canadian organizations. Click here for more information.

RUAWARE? Spread the word, not HIV

More than 200 Peel board secondary students attended RUAWARE? on Nov. , 2006 at the HJA Brown Education Centre. This annual half-day workshop is specifically designed for youth to promote leadership and create awareness about HIV and AIDS. Click here for more iinformation.

UN Peace Day

Students in grades 5 to 8 are invited to participate in the UN Peace Day event each year on UN Peace Day. Check back for more information about this event.

Canadian Physicians for Aid and Relief Annual World Health Day Challenge

In honour of World Health Day, on April 7th, 2007 CPAR is holding its 2nd annual World Health Day Challenge. CPAR is extending the challenge to physicians and health care professionals all across Canada to donate part or an entire day's worth of their income to CPAR in support of important health and development projects in vulnerable rural African communities.
