Volunteering in SchoolsThe Peel District School Board welcomes and encourages the participation of parents and community members in every one of its schools-from elementary right through to high school. The time you invest volunteering can really make a difference to the entire school as well as to your teen. Volunteering doesn't mean giving up all your free time. There are plenty of ways for you to help at the school and behind the scenes-we wouldn't want to embarrass your teen! Here are some options:
Criminal records checks ensure student safety As a safety precaution, we require all volunteers to provide proof of a criminal records check before taking on a volunteer role at the school. Criminal record check forms are available through the school office. Once the form has been received and approved by the board, you may participate in volunteer activities at the school. If you have questions about the process, please speak to the principal. Contact your local school to get started volunteering. |
