Here are other programs associated with literacy training in the province.
  • The Ontario Skills Passport (OSP) http://skills.edu.gov.on.ca is a resource that provides clear descriptions of the skills used in virtually all occupations, as well as important work habits. It also provides employers with a consistent method of assessing and recording the demonstration of these skills and work habits in the workplace. The skills listed in the OSP are transferable skills that all learners (including high school students and adult learners), job seekers and workers can take from job to job, sector to sector and school to work.

  • The Ontario Literacy Coalition http://www.on.literacy.ca is a membership-based charitable organization that promotes and supports all levels of literacy in the province of Ontario. Founded in 1986, the OLC works together with literacy organizations, literacy learners, and other individuals and organizations committed to literacy. Their mission is to find effective and respectful ways to help people in Ontario who have literacy challenges.
